Finding the time

I am really not doing a good job of keeping you up to date with life@number 6 at the moment but I hope it will get easier after our next wedding. Yes we have another in 2 weeks, Charlotte and Angus's. Not the preparations we had with Becky and Tom's as we are going out to Portugal to our venue here - ' Quinta da Arriaga'. It's not far from Sintra, a town steeped in history and set amidst pine covered hills and a few miles from the west coast beaches.

There still seems to be the last minute jobs - collecting the wedding dress from the dress makers, getting the bridesmaid's dress to the dressmakers for shortening, collecting the specially made wedding ring again ( they forgot to put the diamonds in the first time). All these jobs are being done up here whilst Charlotte is actually down in Cornwall. Each day there seems to be another call to either check on progress or to ask us to pack something else in our luggage.

We did managed a trip down to Cornwall over the bank holiday and although the weather wasn't as warm as we would have liked we got a walk on my special beach before breakfast one day

Along Constantine to Booby's Bay

Passed 'The little house by the sea'

down the steps and back along the beach

to the wishing well, which has really grown since our last visit

 up the path

for a coffee and a view

We had some amazing sunsets

Charlotte and I went to the Antiques and Vintage fair at the Royal Cornwall showground.

How many remember or even still have some of this tupperware? I know I do and have.

Later that day we visited Trevibban Mill for a spot of wine tasting - what a delightful place

I was glad I wasn't a driver though as the wine was very nice!

Monday was a better day and we got down on the beach and gave Nina her first 'paddle'

She seem to enjoy it.

We went to watch one of the highest tides of the year on Harlyn beach

and had a paddle

 saw another gorgeous sunset

and then got in the car to drive 330 miles home. There's nothing like feet still covered in sand when you reach home!

We are treating ourselves to 2 nights in the caravan at Hebden Bridge this weekend courtesy of some free vouchers from the Caravan Club. It's a place I've been wanting to go for ages so really looking forward to that.
So till the next time , enjoy your week xx
